Fiddler on the Roof

It’s been a week since the curtain fell for Fiddler on the Roof musical. Two great weekends at the Manoel Theatre, 9 shows in all! In this musical I had a minor role interpreting Yussel, the hatter from whom Motel gets his wedding hat. Apart from this, I was part of the chorus. Fiddler on the Roof was directed by Chris Gatt and produced by F.M. Theatre Productions. Our choreographer was Marisa Baldacchino, with whom we spent the past couple of months rehearsing dance numbers such as Tradition, To Life & The Dream. Vocal coaching was in the hands of Cathy Lawlor; there were a total of 7 chorus songs in all including Sabbath Prayer, Sunrise, Sunset & Anatevka. Music direction was under the baton of Kris Spiteri, who also conducted a 14-piece band. It was great to get to know and work with a bunch of great people (back-stage, cast & crew). Being my first musical, I must say that this was a great experience!
