On the 13th January, I performed in the magnificent St. John’s Oratory as part of the Goldberg Ensemble, under the beautiful Caravaggio painting, The Beheading of St. John the Baptist. Accompanying the choir was the Anon Ensemble, which is made up of Marcelline Agius & Nadia Debono on violin, Angelica Galea Young on cello and Mro. Michael Laus on harpsichord, with the latter also being the choir director. We sang a selection of baroque pieces composed by Telemann, Fux, Handel & Vivaldi. The Anon Ensemble also performed music by Corelli & Handel. The acoustics and the setting were really great in the Oratory!
