L’Elisir D’Amore – Rehearsals

L’Elisir d’Amore (The Elixir of Love) is a comic opera by composer Gaetano Donizetti, with an Italian libretto by Felice Romani. It is directed by Denise Mulholland, with costume design by Isabel Warrington, and set design in the hands of Pierre Portelli. We have started rehearsals back in November of last year, in preparation for our performance at the prestigious Manoel Theatre, kicking off in a month’s time. It’s the year of VOICES, a biennial concert in aid of charity. It all started back in 1991, with just 77 choristers and 6 musicians. Nowadays, the choir is made up of more than 200 singers, split in 6 voice parts. This is going to be my 4th consecutive participation in this choir. Johann Strauss School of Music Prize Day

At the beginning of this week, I had the opportunity to perform ‘Stars’ from the musical Les Misérables at the magnificent Manoel Theatre.
